WWI poem
The day is young and so am i
But when i see those helpless guys
Its more than anything i can take
Friends and Family with such a heartache
For the thought that one may never come home
Because of this war thats so cold
The gas, the boms, the guns go off
With the dust that mkes me cough
Its where i live, its where i stay
till the end of this war everything will be ok
I tell my family it'll be alright
Even though its a boisteous fight
I march proud my head up high
Knowing that what i just said was a lie
This war is jusrt unfair
Like a burden in despair
THe first night i shed a tear
But i told myself to persevere
Now ;ay here on the ground
Not knowing what will come around
I fought for my country and
People tell me thats all that counts
And that the est way you could die
Is fighting for my countrys life
The day is young and so am i
But when i see those helpless guys
Its more than anything i can take
Friends and Family with such a heartache
For the thought that one may never come home
Because of this war thats so cold
The gas, the boms, the guns go off
With the dust that mkes me cough
Its where i live, its where i stay
till the end of this war everything will be ok
I tell my family it'll be alright
Even though its a boisteous fight
I march proud my head up high
Knowing that what i just said was a lie

Like a burden in despair
